It requires sustained investment over 12 to 18 months to build the foundation, deploy capabilities, manage organizational change, and measure results. Companies that can commit to this timeline and protect the initiative from quarter-to-quarter budget fluctuations are ready. Companies that need to see full ROI within 90 days are better served by continuing to optimize existing processes without AI.
